Pictures of our
week-long sailing school in Miami aboard Sunday Morning. These aren’t
as nicely annotated as the Caribbean pictures (mainly because I don’t
remember the details and chronology as well, and also I’m in more
of a hurry as I am putting them up on the web). The class was great.
We went over the various systems on the boat and practiced different
points of sail, docking maneuvers, man-overboard maneuvers, anchoring,
etc., from about 9:00 each morning until about 6:00 each evening. Jennifer,
our instructor, has been a sailor all her life and was a great teacher.
The boat we were on, Sunday Morning, is owned by Jennifer and is a 35’ Benneteau
with a sloop rig. We left Miami and sailed to Key Largo and back, stopping
at different anchorages each night, except for the night we tied up at
Gilbert’s at the Jewfish Creek Bridge. |
