We were in paradise, so we figured we had to have a cheeseburger. This little beach bar is run by an ex-pat Canadian and Nancy and I were introduced to a Canadian delicacy known as Poutine. Poutine is basically French fries covered with cheese and a rich brown gravy. In Canada, the cheese would be fresh cheese curds. It is really very good, and you can almost hear your arteries snap, crackle and pop as you eat it. A big platter of poutine, a mushroom swiss burger, an order of regular fries, and two or three Presidente beers, and I am no longer hungry, but it is rather difficult to move very fast. Good thing we can take a maxi-taxi back.
